Department of Preliminary Education
Are you new to astrology? Have you discovered that there is more to astrology than the Sun-sign column? Do you believe in astrology and would you like to expand your knowledge and ability to understand a chart?
The Department of Preliminary Education has been established for you. It is an independent section of the campus. These classes are created by Jackie Goldstein. OCA is very proud to have the veteran astrology instructor Jackie Goldstein on its staff. She has successfully taught many beginning students in various on-line forums. Department of Professional Training
This department contains our core curriculum. Graduation from IAA occurs upon completing and passing with 70% or better the 7 required classes in Module 1: Natal Studies Module and the 6 required classes + 2 electives of your choice in Module 2: Diploma Module.
Upon completion and passage of the Natal Studies Module you will receive a certificate of proficiency in natal astrology. Upon completion of the Diploma Module you will receive a diploma and the internationally recognized designation Dipl.IAA (former graduates hold Dipl.OCA) PLUS benefits of certification with the following organizations: NCGR and ISAR. Department of Continuing Education
Would you like to focus in on a special skill or interest? Would you like to explore an area of astrological knowledge that has eluded you so far? The continuing Education Department strives to put you in contact with highly qualified instructors that have a special interest and expertise in a specific subject without requiring commitment to a structured curriculum. No exams or previous approval is necessary to enroll in these courses. Many of these classes carry credit for graduation from the Department of Professional Training allowing for a transition from Continuing Education to Professional Training.

El departamento de enseñanza en el idioma de español de OCA ofrece un curso completo de atrología dirigido a las personas que quieran conocer y entender profundamente esta ciencia, así como para aquellas que busquen obtener los conocimientos necesarios para posteriormente poder presentar los examenes de certificación de las diferentes asociaciones astrológicas, como puede ser el de la NCGR.
