News from IAA:

Jack Fertig gave us over two hours on Geo-Political astrology. As we looked at countries charts, he pointed out how the chart works for the country. He used a number of techniques, such as the Aries ingress and Astro*Carto*Graphy.

The Astrology of Time: Rediscovering the Chart's Temporal Dimension
The Medieval method of determining planetary strength... which includes an understanding of day and hour rulers, as well as the less familiar concept of the SAN, "Syzygy Ante Nativitatem," also known as the pre-natal lunation (Full or New Moon preceding birth). All of this will build toward the method of determining the Almutem Figuris... our link to higher realms. If time permits we will also look at the Hyleg and Alcochoden. My workshop focuses on the neglected temporal dimension of Astrology... planetary day and hour rulers.

The planetary hours and day rulers add a whole new dimension to how you look at a chart and those rulers were also very important for calculating what is now known as the chart ruler -- the Almutem Figuris -- which is the strongest planet in the chart... and a very spiritual, mission-oriented planet, as well.

We'll talk about how these day and hour rulers were used by Medieval Astrologers, look how they are currently used by "traditional" horary astrologers like William Lilly, working with them for chart synthesis and how to use them to your advantage for harmonious living. There are daily what I call planetary "Power Hours" -- where the ruler of the day and the ruler of the hour are the same planet, which amplifies that planet's principle immensely.
I hope this will be a very beneficial and enlightening workshop. It commences on Saturn's Day during a Venus hour at my location so I expect it to be seriously fun!

A Little Bit of Dignity
How to determine the dignity of planets and apply their influence to the natal chart and life of a person. I will be covering how to determine the dignity of any planet complete with a dignity table so you can all become proficient at home. I will be looking at my wonderful natal chart and talking about the roles of the dignified and undignified planets in my life and how they can be used to create a different kind of reality. I have a line up of other charts to explore where dignities are concerned, too.

For those sitting there wondering what the hell is this dignity thing, if you read astrology books and they say if a planet is in good condition this will happen, etc., then this is how to determine what condition the planet is in and what its promise is. I am hoping to show people that there is more than one way to do life, before we can figure out another way we first have to identify what it is we have been given to work with and then go from there. Another component is determining the significators or rulers of houses, putting paid to the old dilemma about having empty houses and worrying that this part of our life will be completely devoid of action.
